How To Manage Domains in Your Reseller Account

The Reseller Console provides you a comprehensive view of all Domains and Products purchased by your clients and it gives you access to all the tools you need. One of which is your access to managing, registering, renewing, and transferring your clients’ Domains.

How to Manage Your Clients’ Domains:

To manage your clients’ Domains and check on the Domain’s Term, Expiry, and current Status, follow the steps below:

  1. Using your chosen browser, navigate to the following address: http://www.secureapi.com.au/reseller
  2. Enter your Reseller Account username and password and click Log In.
  3. Under the Domains tab, click Manage.
  4. The Manage option lists all existing Domains purchased by your clients through their Account Manager. It shows the Customer/Owner next to the Domain, its Term or how long it has been registered, the Expiry date, and its current Status (Registered, Renewal Due, Expired, Pending, etc.).
    1. While on the Manage section, you can click the Domain Name listed under the Domain column to allow you to update the following:
      • Domain Details
      • Domain Registrant, Admin, Tech, and Billing Contacts
      • Domain Name Servers
      • DNS Settings
    2. You can also click the customer name listed under the Customer column to access client’s account and access the following:
      • Update Customer Profile
      • Password Reset for Account Manager
      • Add/Delete Saved Credit Cards
      • View Customer Orders

Congratulations! You just managed your clients’ Domains.

How to Register Your Clients’ Domains:

To register your clients’ Domains through the Reseller Console, follow the steps below:

  1. Using your chosen browser, navigate to the following address: http://www.secureapi.com.au/reseller
  2. Enter your Reseller Account username and password and click Log In.
  3. Under the Domains tab, click Register. A REGISTER DOMAIN option is also available on the Home Page of your Reseller Console for quicker access in registering single Domains.
  4. Under Choose Domain, choose between SINGLE and MULTIPLE.
    • Click on SINGLE to register one Domain Name. Enter the desired Domain Name in the space provided after “www.” then click Search. A number of suggested names with different top-level Domains will appear at the bottom with their corresponding Status and Wholesale Price.
    • Click on MULTIPLE to register two or more Domain Names at once. Be careful to put only one Domain Name per line, enter the desired Domain Names in the box provided, then click Search. A list of the Domains entered will appear at the bottom with their corresponding Status and Wholesale Price.
  5. Check the Status, appearing beside each Domain before proceeding.
    • If AVAILABLE, this means the Domain Name is not yet owned by anyone and can be registered.
    • If BACKORDER, this means the Domain Name is already owned by another person/entity and cannot be registered yet. However, you can register a Domain Backorder for the said Domain, instead.
    • If REGISTERED, this means the Domain Name is already owned by another person/entity and cannot be registered nor backordered.
    • If UNAVAILABLE, this means that either we do not yet offer this Domain Name to our clients or the registry connection at the moment is down. You may contact your Dedicated Reseller Support about this or try again later if it is simply the latter.
  6. Under the Order column, put a check mark on the box beside the Available Domain Name you wish to register.
  7. Under the Wholesale Price column, select from the drop-down list the number of years you would like to assign to each Domain Name then click Register.
  8. Under Select a Customer, click New Customer if your client does not have an existing account created with you yet. Fill out the necessary information then click Next. Otherwise, click Existing Customer if your client already has an existing account created with you. Specify the full name, email, username, or customer ID of your client’s existing account then click Next.
  9. Under Domain Eligibility, enter the correct details as per respective Domain registry’s requirements then click Next.
    1. This additional step will only appear if Domain Names with eligibility requirements are being registered, for example .AU Domains. Otherwise, proceed with next step.
    2. Also, as a Reseller, you are not allowed to register a Domain under your name. Domains must be registered using your client's information. For .AU Domains, as per AuDa policy, active ABN/ACN must be of the client.
  10. Under Pay and Activate, select a payment method then click on Pay & Activate.

Congratulations! You just registered your clients’ Domains.

    • A list of the Domains to be transferred will appear at the bottom with a column for Password and Check Password beside each Domain Name.
  5. Under the Password column, enter the Domain Password, registry key, or UDAI key in the box beside its corresponding Domain Name then click Check Password. If correct, a drop-down list will replace the Check Password button with the option to Transfer Only or Transfer and Renew. Select one then click Next. If incorrect, you will need to contact your client for the correct Domain Password. In which case, the Password box will be outlined with red and the following error will appear at the top-right corner of the page:
  6. Under Select a Customer, click New Customer if your client does not have an existing account created with you yet. Fill out the necessary information then click Next. Otherwise, click Existing Customer if your client already has an existing account created with you. Specify the full name, email, username, or customer ID of your client’s existing account then click Next.
  7. Under the Pay and Renew section, select a payment method then click the Pay Order button.
